Manuals: how the yard really works
Four short guides written in plain English. They explain how chance behaves, how to read the numbers on a stall, how to stop when you meant to, and what our suggested plays do and do not do. None of them will help you win anything, because there is nothing to win here, and no system beats a game of chance over time.
- Manual 01Chance has no memoryWhy a long run without a feature does not make the next spin any more likely to bring one.
- Manual 02Reading a pay plateLines, ways, multiples of the stake and why back is not the same as up.
- Manual 03Plan your last callChoosing a time to stop before you start, and the tools on this site that hold you to it.
- Manual 04Choices at the tableHow the decisions in Old Hazard, Full Steam, High Flush and Iron Duel work, and what our suggestions mean.
Why we write these
Games of chance are easy to enjoy and easy to misread. The same feelings that make a stall fun, the near miss, the run that seems due, the round that feels like a turning point, are the ones that keep people playing past their plan. We would rather you understood them. If anything here raises a worry about gambling elsewhere, Safer Play lists free, confidential support in the UK.
